In April 2007, Lithuanian temporary employment companies established the Association of Temporary Employment Companies. The association currently has 13 members. It is the first and the only institution uniting personnel lease practitioners in Lithuania, actively participating in creation of labour lease legislation, promoting the services of temporary employment in order to reduce emigration and the scale of illegal employment.
The director of UAB ADVANTUS Arūnas Mieželis has been elected the chairman of the board of this association. www.liia.lt

Association of Human Resource Professionals was established in 2006 with the view to enhance the awareness of the value of human resources in Lithuania. Its main field of activities are: to promote the importance of dealing with human capital, educate personnel management specialists, upgrade their qualification, collect information and knowledge in human resource management and spread it among organisations, participate in preparation of the legislation regulating human resource management. www.pvpa.lt
